Epoch’s Distrolist integration makes it easy to invite email aliases to your events. You’ll be able to select which distrolist(s) to add to your event from a list of all Distrolists within your company and then each member of that distrolist will be invited to your event.
Since this is a direct integration with your Distrolist provider, any changes to the members of these distrolists will be updated on Epoch's end automatically. The most common Distrolist provider we integrate with is Google Workspace Groups.
Read below for a step-by-step walkthrough on how to set up the Distrolist integration:
Here is a helpful resource from WorkOS.
If you have any questions, feel free to reachout to support@epochapp.com.
Will all Google groups sync to Epoch and appear under Distrolists after we enable the integration? Is it possible to restrict certain groups from being synced to Epoch?
If your distrolists are housed in Google Workspace, all of them will sync into Epoch.
What permissions will Epoch have for our Google groups? I assume that it can view the group members, but does it also have access to group descriptions, details, and messages sent to the group?
We do not have access to anything beyond who is in the group and the name of the group.
Some of our groups are configured to disallow external messages. If someone attempts to use Epoch to send an email or invite to these groups, will the email or invite be rejected?
The calendar emails are going to come to those groups from email so they would not be considered external.
