What communications are sent when an employee RSVPs for an event?

Epoch sends automated communications when an employee RSVPs for an event or when an admin publishes certain actions.

Employee actions on different platforms

Going

  • Calendar: No notifications
  • Slack: Slack and email notifications
  • Web app: Slack and email notifications

Interested

  • Calendar: No notifications
  • Slack: Slack and email notifications
  • Web app: Slack and email notifications

Cancel or not going

  • Calendar: No notifications
  • Slack: Slack and email notifications
  • Web app: Slack and email notifications

Filling out a questionnaire

  • Slack: Slack and email notifications
  • Web app: Slack and email notifications

Admin actions

Invitation

  • Calendar invitation
  • Default email from Google Calendar
  • Slack notification

Event updated

  • Default email from Google Calendar
  • Slack notification (coming soon)

Note: Event edits to the following areas will trigger a Google Calendar notification to all guests

  • Title
  • Description
  • Event type (location)
  • Start/end date
  • All day checkbox/start/end time

Note: Event edits to the following areas will cause RSVPs to be reset

  • Date and Time (confirmed attendees will still be on the calendar invite, they will just need to reconfirm)
