Target attendance is the number of guests you're hoping will attend your event in order to consider it a success.
This number is used in reporting to calculate attendance rate, which is the number of people who actually attended compared to your target. This metric is helpful in measuring the success of your events and uncovering trends to improve attendance over time.
Simply looking at total attendance isn't always the most useful metric, as an event meant for the whole company like All Hands will always exceed a small yoga social. However, a small yoga social planned for 15 people with 100% turnout is still considered successful.
