Target attendance is the number of guests you're hoping will attend your event in order to consider it a success.
For a single-event:
For a multi-session event, you can set the target attendance at the session level:
This number is used in reporting to calculate attendance rate, which is the number of people who actually attended compared to your target. This metric is helpful in measuring the success of your events and uncovering trends to improve attendance over time. For multi-session events, the average target attendance across all sessions is used. Sessions with no target attendance will not factor into this average calculation.
Simply looking at total attendance isn't always the most useful metric, as an event meant for the whole company like All Hands will always exceed a small yoga social. However, a small yoga social planned for 15 people with 100% turnout is still considered successful.
