There are different event states in Epoch: draft events, published events, and canceled events. There are certain features and event configurations that are available depending on which state your event is in.

  1. Draft event: This is an event that has not yet been published. You won't be able to invite guests to register yet, and a calendar event will not yet be created. Some features can only be edited if your event is in the draft event state.
  2. Published event: You'll be able to invite guests to register to this event. Some features are only available when your event has been published. Changes made to the event will be reflected immediately upon saving.

For example, if you edit the event title, description, and time, this will be reflected in the Epoch event page and the associated calendar hold when the changes are saved.

  3. Canceled event: This is an event that was published and had registered guests, and was subsequently canceled. The event page will be updated to display that the event was canceled. Refer to this linked article for more information about canceled events.
  4. Past event: This is an event that has taken place. When the end time of and event has passed, or when the end time of the last session of a multi-session event has passed, the event becomes a past event. Some features remain available up to 30 days after an event has passed.
