‍

Confirmations by platform

‍

The "confirmations by platform" section on the insights page allows you to see which platforms are generating the most event confirmations from employees.

‍

Get the insights you need to know which channels you should target to boost confirmations for future events.

‍

‍

Targeted reminders

‍

Target who you want to send the reminders to. Choose guests based on their RSVP status, which means you can nudge invited guests to RSVP.

  • Survey – Fixed bug that didn't send questionnaires to users who were moved off of waitlist and/or in 'Incomplete' status

Email reminders

‍

We refreshed our email reminders, just like Slack! You can now see which reminders have been scheduled and sent, the time zone formatting is consistent, and we added input field labels to make the experience more clear.

‍

‍

CSV updates

‍

We're always committed to providing you more data. We updated our guest list CSV to show you whether guests were invited by an admin or if they discovered the event on their own. We also now permanently show a guest's most recent RSVP status instead of replacing it with an attended status. You can see if a guest attended an event by checking the attendance type and source.

‍

‍

Features & improvements

  • Event page – Fixed bug where attended guests are able to confirm again through Slack and event page even though they’re already confirmed
  • Editor – Fixed bug where admin check-in setting wasn’t corresponding to location selection
  • Editor – Fixed bug where attended guests weren’t appearing as attended in the invite modal

  • Insights – Fixed bug where guests changing their RSVP after getting checked in would display their new RSVP instead

  • In-person check-in – Fixed bug where full guest list wasn’t appearing and scrolling wasn’t working in admin check-in modal
  • In-person check-in – Fixed bug where unchecking in a guest would still show them as attended

‍

Registration cutoff

‍

Registration cutoff prevents employees from confirming into your event after a set date and time. This is a great feature to use if your event requires pre-work, ordering supplies, or booking logistics. You can finalize headcount and plan appropriately for your events.

‍

To learn more about how to set up registration cutoff, read our registration cutoff article.

‍

‍

Slack reminders

‍

We refreshed our Slack reminders! You can now see which reminders have been scheduled and sent, the time zone formatting is consistent, you can organize your reminders internally with a title, and we updated our Slack formatting tips to give you a cleaner experience.

‍

‍

Event cards

‍

We also cleaned up our event cards! You can now see the total number of guests confirmed for the event, event location is displayed consistently, and the design is more accessible.

‍

‍

Features & improvements

  • Feedback forms – Feedback form section now appears on the insights page when an event begins
  • Employees – Fixed a bug where accented characters weren't showing up properly in employee names

‍

Archive modal

‍

When archiving events, we added a warning to make sure events aren't being cancelled by accident. This also lets you know exactly what happens when you archive an event.

‍

‍

Event duplication

‍

Duplicating an event didn't copy over all the fields, and that's an oversight on our part! We heard your feedback and made sure that you get a carbon copy. Start and end time, contact person name, contact person email, turning on guests for public events, admin check-in settings, self check-in settings, and Slack channel settings duplicate correctly.

‍

Features & improvements

‍

  • Profile – Added required feedback form requests as an exception notification
  • Profile – Updated copy for notification settings to be more accurate, including exceptions
  • Editor – Fixed bug where Slack event update notifications were sent when the setting was turned off

  • Insights – Fixed bug where the status filter count was incorrect

‍

Customize the name for "Content"

‍

You can now change the name for "Content" across the platform! Some common requests we've heard include "Recordings" and "Podcasts." This will appear in the dashboard sidebar, dashboard title, and Discover page tab.

‍

To learn more about how to set it all up, read here.

‍

‍

Large events on calendar

‍

We've found that calendar events with more than 2,000 guests often experience issues with syncing data between calendar and Epoch that's out of our control. To be proactive about these issues, we disable the ability to create calendar events and send calendar invitations to invited guests.

‍

To learn more about this limitation, read here.

Employees can now filter events based on a date or date range. We're making event discoverability across the company even easier than before!

‍

‍

Slack notification for event cancellations

‍

Now, guests will be notified through Slack if you archive an event. This can help clear up any confusions about whether guests should attend an event, especially if they don't check their email.

‍

‍

Profile photos

‍

We've updated our default profile photos for employees who don't upload one. They're visually cleaner and show employees' initials, which can make skimming a bit easier if you're trying to see if your friends will be there.

‍

We know it’s top of mind to not spam employees with notifications, especially when you want to edit an event silently.

‍

Now, you can choose if you want to send update notifications from Google Calendar and Slack. We pushed a quality-of-life update for employees too: their questionnaire responses will be restored automatically when they confirm back into an event that had a start time change.

Learn more about how it all works in our update notifications article.

Edit surveys in Slack

Communications dashboard

‍

Promotions is now communications. This dashboard is your home for all things communications as we build out more features for you, like announcements that aren’t tied to an event.

‍

‍

Deprecated calendar promotions

‍

We’re removing calendar promotions to simplify the experience, because inviting guests to your events do the same thing! Don’t worry – any previously scheduled calendar promotions will still send, but you won’t be able to edit or delete them.

‍

To add employees to a calendar invitation, simply invite them to the event and turn on calendar invitations.

‍

‍

Status column

‍

You can now see the publishing status of your events on the dashboard! Published events means all changes are live. Saved events are also live, but there are some saved changes that haven't been published and made live yet.

‍

‍

Features & improvements

‍

  • Invitations – Fixed bug where users were getting removed from Google Calendar when events with calendar invitations turned on were updated
  • Slack channels – Fixed bug that was archiving existing Slack channels if the same name was inputted for a new channel
  • Slack channels – Fixed bug that was disabling the Slack channel creation date if the date passed and the event was saved, but not published

  • Surveys – Fixed bug where rearranging and deleting survey questions would cause an error and remove unsaved changes
  • Surveys – Fixed bug where a survey submission with no responses to a fully optional survey wouldn't appear in the CSV
  • Reminders – Fixed bug where guests who joined the Zoom meeting didn't receive reminders sent afterwards
  • Insights page – Fixed bug where "Attended" pill wasn't appearing until after events ended
