We gave our event page a complete makeover! Just to name a few exciting changes: a more robust and informative RSVP experience, seeing the event organizer and office, simplifying the guest list, and much more.

‍

‍

Simplified cover photos

‍

‍

Show RSVP on event cards

‍

Ever browsing the Discover page and not sure if you've already RSVPed to an event? Now, we'll show your current RSVP on the event card so you don't need to click in and out just to check.

‍

‍

Auto-decline notifications

‍

When we see that a guest RSVPs as not going for your event and there's an auto-decline note from Google and Outlook Calendar, we'll send custom notifications to alert the guest that they might've unintentionally declined.

Event organizer

‍

We simplified designating an event organizer – no more manually entering a contact person or reply-to email for reminders. Select any employee from your company as the default reply-to email for all communications.

‍

The event organizer's information will also be shown on the event page soon.

‍

‍

Office

‍

We made improvements to the office field. Office is now in the "Details" section to make it more clear that it’s not a location.

We're always committed to providing you more data. We updated our guest list CSV to show you whether guests were invited by an admin or if they discovered the event on their own. Registration cutoff

‍

Registration cutoff prevents employees from confirming into your event after a set date and time. This is a great feature to use if your event requires pre-work, ordering supplies, or booking logistics. You can finalize headcount and plan appropriately for your events.

‍

To learn more about how to set up registration cutoff, read our registration cutoff article.

‍

‍

Slack reminders

When archiving events, we added a warning to make sure events aren't being cancelled by accident. This also lets you know exactly what happens when you archive an event.

‍

‍

Event duplication

‍

Duplicating an event didn't copy over all the fields, and that's an oversight on our part! We heard your feedback and made sure that you get a carbon copy. Start and end time, contact person name, contact person email, turning on guests for public events, admin check-in settings, self check-in settings, and Slack channel settings duplicate correctly.

Customize the name for "Content"

‍

To learn more about how to set it all up, read here.

‍

‍

Large events on calendar

‍

We've found that calendar events with more than 2,000 guests often experience issues with syncing data between calendar and Epoch that's out of our control. To be proactive about these issues, we disable the ability to create calendar events and send calendar invitations to invited guests.

‍

To learn more about this limitation, read here.

Now, you can choose if you want to send update notifications from Google Calendar and Slack. We pushed a quality-of-life update for employees too: their questionnaire responses will be restored automatically when they confirm back into an event that had a start time change.

Communications dashboard

‍

Promotions is now communications. This dashboard is your home for all things communications as we build out more features for you, like announcements that aren’t tied to an event.

‍

‍

Deprecated calendar promotions

We’re removing calendar promotions to simplify the experience, because inviting guests to your events do the same thing! Don’t worry – any previously scheduled calendar promotions will still send, but you won’t be able to edit or delete them.

‍

To add employees to a calendar invitation, simply invite them to the event and turn on calendar invitations.

‍

‍
